I would first like to express my great satisfaction with having had the opportunity of working with David on some exquisite book jackets. He is so exciting to work with because he brings so much to the table in terms of palette, light and shadow and other aesthetics and also in his fearlessness. He knows what he wants, what will look best, and how to best communicate the idea. He is not afraid to achieve his own vision and trust in its evocative nature. Working with David is a true collaboration. On David’s etchings, I would simply like to say that I love the provocative and highly imaginative world they transport me to. A world of profound musings. I think we are seeing the beginning of a prolific and accomplished career. —BARRY DAVID MARCUS, photographer
